Curtis's Biography

Curtis Jones joined Young Anderson in June 2018 as an associate. Previously Curtis completed articles with the Vancouver office of a large international law firm and upon being called to the bar of British Columbia in 2017, worked as a civil litigator in another local law firm. He brings a diverse set of skills to his practice as a general municipal solicitor having gained experience in many areas of the law.

Curtis attended law school at the University of British Columbia, graduating with his Juris Doctor in 2016. During law school Curtis received the McCarthy Tetrault prize in property law. During law school Curtis also completed an internship with the BC Provincial Court where he assisted judges with legal research and other projects. Prior to law school, Curtis attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology where he completed a technical diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. He then went on to complete a Bachelors of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, where he received the Dean’s Convocation Medal.

Curtis grew up in North Vancouver, BC and is actively involved in his community where he is a Search and Rescue volunteer with North Shore Rescue. In this role, Curtis is a licensed Emergency Medical Responder, and is a qualified helicopter rescue technician. In his spare time, Curtis is an amateur photographer and also enjoys exploring the North Shore mountains with his pup Piper.
