Sabrina's Biography

Sabrina joined Young Anderson as an associate in April 2018 after articling and beginning her practice at a large international firm in downtown Vancouver. Prior to articling Sabrina clerked for five justices of the British Columbia Supreme Court. Sabrina was called to the bar of British Columbia in January 2018.

Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta and a Masters in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning from York University. Her graduate research assessed the legal and planning mechanisms being used to promote sustainable development in communities across Canada. She received her JD from the University of British Columbia where she also completed a specialization in environmental and natural resources law. At law school, Sabrina received multiple prizes in environmental law and represented UBC at the Canadian Environmental Law Moot where she was recognized as a Distinguished Oralist.

Sabrina’s interest in local government law flows from her background in corporate sustainability and urban planning, as well as her passion for environmental issues and sustainable development. Since moving back to the west coast she has also become interested in Aboriginal law and the move towards reconciliation.

In her life before law Sabrina worked in commercial banking and corporate sustainability for an international bank located in Vancouver.

When not in the office you can find Sabrina running or cycling the streets of Vancouver or preparing for her next international travel adventure.
