COVID-19: Issues for Local Governments as Employers

In this session, we will discuss employment issues that continue to arise for employers during the COVID-19 pandemic. These include the duty to accommodate health concerns and family obligations, requests to work from home, personal privacy considerations, and the right to request medical information. We will also discuss the statutory leaves that were added to the Employment Standards Act as a result of COVID-19 and WorkSafe issues.
