Neskonlith Appeal to be Heard August 14 and 15

Reece Harding and Gregg Cockrill are preparing to argue the appeal in Neskonlith Indian Band v. City of Salmon Arm on August 14 and 15 in the B.C. Court of Appeal. This appeal addresses whether a local government can owe a duty to consult and accommodate a First Nation in the same manner as the Crown when issuing a development permit. This decision will be very important for all local governments in British Columbia.
