James's Biography
James Barth joined Young Anderson as an associate in May of 2022, after completing his articles with the firm. He maintains a broad municipal law practice, with particular interests in freedom of information and privacy law.
James obtained his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2021. During his time at the Peter A. Allard School of Law, James oversaw Pro Bono Students Canada’s Homeless ID project, and worked as a research assistant on projects around housing commissions and encampments. James previously studied at Mount Alison University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and Distinction in Psychology and a minor in English.
Outside the office, James can be found recording and performing music, hiking, or exploring Vancouver’s breweries.
