Nate Ruston joined Young Anderson as an associate in May of 2023, after completing his articles with the firm. He maintains a general municipal practice with an appreciation for the various legal issues faced by local governments, including judicial reviews, bylaw enforcement, and real estate development.
Originally from Comox on Vancouver Island, Nate obtained undergraduate and master’s degrees in history before receiving his law degree from the University of Victoria in 2022. While completing his law degree, Nate contributed two published papers in academic historical journals and worked as a review officer intern at WorkSafeBC.
Outside the office, Nate has an appreciation for the outdoors that includes playing soccer, mountain biking, and hiking, all while enjoying Vancouver’s craft brewery scene.
