Serge's Biography
Serge Grochenkov joined Young Anderson as an associate in January 2023. Before joining the firm, he completed his articles and a year of practice at a personal injury and estate litigation firm, and during that time appeared regularly in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
He received his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2020. During law school, Serge volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) to provide free legal advice and representation for lower-income individuals. He was also a member of the school’s International Justice and Human Rights (IJHR) Clinic, where he assisted in drafting proposed legislation aimed at tackling forced labour and presenting it to senators and members of Parliament.
Prior to law school, Serge obtained a degree in commercial aviation management from the University of Western Ontario and at the same time earned his pilot’s licence. He later worked in the operations centre of an aircraft management and charter company in Toronto before moving to Vancouver.
Outside of work, Serge enjoys distance running and all things aviation.
